What is the complete version of SI ?

SIT stands for Special Investigation Teams. This is a special team comprised of Indian officers that are specially equipped to investigate serious crimes.

  • The CRPF was derived from the CRP (Crown Representative's Police) on the 27th of July 1939. It was a two-battalions force situated in Nimach [Means North Indian Mounted Artillery and Cavalry Headquarter], Madhya Pradesh. The primary function of the CRPF at that time was to protect its British people in states with high risk of India. [5]
